Pumitas arrive at JC

After the sterling efforts of last summer's Bolivia Animal Sanctuary volunteers, we're very pleased to see that the large enclosure on which they worked so hard in Parque Jacj Cuisi has finally been populated....

A pair of rather larger-than-expected male puma twins (!) have now been moved from their temporary cage in Ambue Ari to their lovely permanent home in Jacj Cuisi: a 20 x 25m enclosure with plenty of running room  as well as separate management cages for any bouts of sibling rivalry...

We hope that Flashman and Captain Haw Haw, as the pumitas have been named, will be very happy in their new home, and would like to thank our 2011 volunteers who made this possible!

...photos to follow soon...
